Planning a corporate sponsorship for Toronto Spring Festival 2027

Begin with the partnership you want to build
Toronto Spring Festival is scheduled for February 5-7, 2027 at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall. For a Toronto or GTA business considering a Lunar New Year partnership, a short, focused brief can make the first conversation with the organizing team more productive.
This guide offers planning questions, not a sponsorship package or a list of available benefits. Placements, activities, fees and availability need written confirmation from the organizers before your business commits.
1. Choose a clear objective and audience
Describe the people your business hopes to engage and why this celebration is relevant to them. Choose a primary objective, such as introducing a service, supporting community participation or creating an experience visitors can enjoy. Explain what a useful interaction would look like for both your team and the visitor.
Avoid assuming an audience demographic from the overall event theme. Ask what audience information is available and how it was collected. A proposal should make sense even when detailed visitor profiles are unavailable.
2. Outline your contribution and full budget
Introduce your organization, a decision-maker and a business contact email. Describe your proposed financial or in-kind contribution, your budget range and the date by which you need a decision. In-kind support requires agreement on suitability and value; offering a product does not establish an accepted sponsorship.
Allow separately for your own staffing, production, transport and equipment. If you propose an outdoor activity, ask about space, power, access, weather arrangements and any necessary approvals. Do not book suppliers or promise a visitor experience before these details are agreed.
3. Turn expectations into written deliverables
Ask the organizing team to identify each proposed benefit, its location or channel, the delivery period and who is responsible. Clarify artwork deadlines, approval steps and what happens if an agreed activity cannot proceed. Any exclusivity, logo placement, speaking opportunity or media coverage must be explicitly agreed rather than inferred from a package name.
Separate what the organizer will deliver from what your business will provide. Confirm the total fee, applicable taxes, payment schedule and cancellation terms. Keep one agreed version of the scope so your marketing, finance and event teams work from the same information.
4. Agree how outcomes will be measured
According to figures provided by the organizer, previous editions attracted approximately 60,000-80,000 attendees. The organizer expects a similar scale in 2027; this is a forecast, not guaranteed attendance.
Whole-event attendance is not the number of visitors who see a particular logo or interact with a sponsor. Ask whether figures represent unique visitors or visits, what period they cover and which observations can actually be reported. Do not treat attendance as a promise of impressions, leads, sales or return on investment.
Select a small set of measures appropriate to the agreed activity, such as completed visitor interactions or delivery of agreed placements. Define who records each measure, when it will be shared and what its limitations are. Do not assume that sponsorship includes access to attendee contact details.
5. Send your brief and keep the next step clear
Use the sponsorship inquiry page or email info@torontospringfestival.ca with your organization, objective, proposed contribution, budget range and outstanding questions. Request a discussion about fit and next steps. An inquiry does not confirm a partnership or reserve benefits.
Businesses seeking a food-selling space should also review the separate food-vendor application checklist and Booth information. A sponsorship discussion does not replace a vendor application or confirm permission to sell food at the event.
