Food vendors: prepare your Toronto Spring Festival 2027 application

Start with a clear proposal
Toronto Spring Festival is scheduled for February 5-7, 2027 at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall. For a Toronto or GTA restaurant, caterer or food truck considering participation, a useful first step is to prepare a short proposal the organizing team can review.
The checklist below is planning guidance, not a statement of confirmed facilities or a substitute for the requirements issued for your approved space. Submitting an application does not reserve a booth, confirm acceptance or require you to make a payment.
1. Describe your business and menu
Include your business name, website or business social page, a contact person and a business email. Explain what you plan to serve, whether you need a booth or a food-truck space, and which event days you are available. Ask the team to confirm the actual vendor operating schedule.
Prepare a concise proposed menu with portion sizes and intended selling prices. Note ingredients and any allergen questions your staff must be ready to answer. Describe where preparation would happen and what cooking or finishing you expect to do at the event. These details help the team assess the proposal; they do not establish food-safety approval.
2. List the space and equipment you need
Write down the dimensions of your proposed setup, including service counters, storage and customer collection space. For a truck, include the vehicle footprint and any access questions. Provide an equipment list and the electrical requirements shown on each appliance, rather than estimating one total from memory.
Ask what power, water, lighting, waste handling and storage arrangements are available for the specific space. Identify any proposed cooking fuel or heating equipment for review. Do not assume a booth includes a tent, heater, furniture or a suitable electrical connection; obtain written confirmation before purchasing or hiring equipment.
3. Plan for outdoor service in February
Discuss loading access, setup and pack-down times, staffing rotations and how your team would manage an outdoor service queue. Plan a menu your team can serve consistently, with packaging that is practical for visitors to carry.
Ask the organizers how weather-related changes will be communicated and what happens if operations are interrupted. Request the applicable food-safety, insurance and site requirements early, including who reviews documents and when they must be submitted. This article does not set permit requirements or guarantee access to heated space.
4. Check the full cost before committing
Review the current Booth page, then ask for a written quote that identifies the space, dates covered, taxes, equipment charges and any other agreed costs. Confirm payment timing, cancellation terms and the approval process before paying. A listed option does not guarantee remaining availability.
According to figures provided by the organizer, previous editions attracted approximately 60,000-80,000 attendees. The organizer expects a similar scale in 2027; this is a forecast, not guaranteed attendance.
Whole-event attendance is not the number of people who will pass a particular stall or buy a meal. Build a cautious stock and staffing plan, and discuss replenishment access. No application or attendance forecast guarantees sales or a return on your costs.
5. Send an application that is easy to review
Submit your business details, proposed menu, preferred setup and equipment needs through the 2027 vendor application. Keep a copy of what you submitted and identify any questions still awaiting an answer. The application and Booth links below provide the starting points; use the partnership contact page for questions.
You can also contact info@torontospringfestival.ca. Ask for confirmation of acceptance, the final space and all agreed operating arrangements before announcing that your business will be at the festival.
